PARAGRAPH FORMULA
TS + T + I#1 + EX1 + T + I#2 + EX2 + CS
TS = Topic Sentence; this introduces your subject
T = Transitions; this is the first word in your sentence to introduce an idea about your subject; it tells the reader that a new thought is about to be discussed. Some specific ones are: first, for example, for instance, in addition, also, next, another, second, nevertheless, however. These words will be followed by a comma.
I#1 / I#2 = Idea #1 or #2; this is the idea about your subject you will discuss.
EX1/EX2 = Example #1 or #2; you provide an example to prove your idea.
CS = Concluding Sentence; this is a wrap up of your subject, but it does not sound like the topic sentence.
