There are a number of objectives for this unit:
	to introduce students to story parts including setting, characters, conflict, plot, and theme to work with each of the story parts in relation to various pieces of literature to use literature terms such as characterization, irony, internal/external conflict, and plot outline to introduce the paragraph formula to students as the basic writing structure to be used and expanded throughout the year in various styles of writing. to allow students to write creatively
Our unit consists of five short stories.
