Twin Valley High School Chinese Class Trip To Chinatown On Monday, April 8, 2013
Students from the Chinese class participated in a cultural trip to Manhattan’s Chinatown, in New York City. Their Chinese teacher, Nanjiang Hyde, accompanied the students. Students experienced a traditional Chinese style meal at the popular restaurant, “The Golden Unicorn” as well as being immersed in the local culture of the area. They also visited the Kamwo Herb & Tea Shop to see how they make medicine from herbs, and lastly, they ate ice cream from the “Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory” before they returned home from a wonderful cultural experience.
